“We live in worlds our conversations create.”
-David L. Cooperrider
Hello Community!
Leadership is a practice.
Today, we pulled a gem from the vault.
Adrienne & Tom founded A Leadership Beyond out of the chaos that ensued from the Pandemic. Well, four years later, the issues remain, and accelerated pace and technology make it harder than ever to build trust and maintain constructive business relationships.
Highlights in this short video include:
- The importance of tone and direction in communication
- A framework to frame and flip negative experiences
- The power of the pause in appreciative inquiry
- How to use appreciative inquiry to build more cohesive teams
- Pause and come from a place of curiosity
- An example with the solutions barely under the surface yet remaining undiscovered without good inquiry.
The word “conversation” at its root means to change together. The word “lead” means to go before.
It’s not difficult to understand and see the potential benefits of positive framing and asking generative questions in our leadership quest. Positive framing and asking generative questions are concepts easy to understand and to see the benefits. Let’s not let the simplicity fool us into complacency. It takes commitment, diligence and practice.
Together we can create a leadership environment for thriving, personally and professionally!
Adrienne & Tom
